The Art of Language and Middle School

Middle Schoolers communicate...
A description of middle schoolers may be experienced readers, burgeoning writers, and developing speakers. If you fall into any of these categories, you are probably one of my students who have come to this blog as a requirement for your first assignment, which is written below:

  1. Follow the link from teachersease to go to Teacher Z’s blog post at: http://www.teacherzaynabs.blogspot.com/
  2. Read the whole blog post before you complete any assignments
  3. Write a comment for the blog with the following information:
    • What is the main idea of TZ's blog?
    • What are 3 supporting details that prove the main idea?
    • How is this blog organized?
    • Who composed the poem for this blog?
    • What type of writing is this blog?
  4. Be prepared to discuss the main ideas for the blog in class on T, Day 3.
Now that you are here, go ahead and scan the blog to finish the HW assignment. Once that is done, fill in the questionnaire directly left of this post.

THIS WEEKS NEWS:

Visit Teacher Z's blog daily

This is the first week back to school after the Ramadhan/Eid vacation. Everyone should be rested and ready to read, write, think, and experience English Language Arts. Here are some poetic thoughts I want to share with you this week. Each thought is posted beside the day I want you to think about it. The days are written as numbers in accordance with the way Prophet Muhammad (saws) and the Arabs recorded the 7 days. The abbreviated letters for the Greek-Roman names are written in parentheses for your rememberance.

Main Idea: Is language like a tree?

English Language Learning
by
Teacher Z.

DAY 2(M) Blog Comment: Language is like a tree...

DAY 3 (T) Blog Comment: The roots are sounds we hear...

DAY 4 (W) Blog Comment: Sprouting letters that suddenly appear...

DAY 5 (Th) Blog Comment: The trunk is words formed with meanings understood...

DAY 6 (F) Blog Comment: And outstretched branches emerge where sentences unfold with thoughts so dear.

DAY 7 (Sat) Blog Comment/Journal Entry: Groups of sentences combine as fruits identify that tree...

DAY 1(Sun) Blog Comment/Final Journal Entry: Sending paragraphs, extending messages --- yielding variety with forms, you send      messages to me.

According to the rubric, write a blog comment for a verse each day with Qs. 1-3. On Days 7 and 1 respond to Qs. 4-5 in a blog comment and in your Reading/Writing Journal as TZ's Blogspot: "English Language Arts". Date the entry in a proper heading. Write a complete accurately structured paragraph to answer both questions.

 QUESTIONS
  1. What does the verse mean to you?
  2. Is this a narrative poem, a lyrical poem, a limerick, or a ballad?
  3. What literary element of poetry is most common to all of the verses?
  4. If you were to give the poem a title that alludes to the message the poem is delivering, what would it be?
  5. What plant does learning language remind you of and why?
The bolded words are key to understanding the main idea your response should reflect.
Read and respond all 5 days. Complete Q. 4-5 Days 7 (Sat.) and 1 (Sun.).

Why is language called language arts?

By the time you finish this weeks' activities, you should realize that the same effort it takes to paint a picture, is the same effort it takes to compose a poem, and to create responses to it especially when the questions are given. In order to respond to someone else's writing there are preparations that have to be made. The first activity you have to do is think about who's writing the piece, what was the purpose for he or she to write the piece, and what major message was the author attempting to convey by writing the piece. Asking the questions are easier than answering them, because the answers are not out in the open and right there. Responding to literature requires critical and creative thinking including:
  •  drawing conclusions
  •  inference
  •  logical deductions
  •  prior learning
  •  personal experiences
  •  insinuations
But which one or ones? Now, here comes the artistry of language. Just like a painter or a planter, you have to decide which tools to use in order to convey a message.

Ho hum... isn't it clear what the purpose of a tree is? You can see it, touch it taste it, and sometimes smell it. Upon observation the first thought is -- it's beautiful, or not. Then as you go closer, you notice its parts. Finally, a curiosity comes over you and you want to find out: what does each part do? Voila! -- you have language, the art of communication is a process of creating ideas and unfolding them into meaningful forms so that others can receive your message and respond.

These are my thoughts for you for this week. Next week the post will be "Painting Language Pictures with P.O.S (Parts of Speech)".

Read, believe, and enjoy.

The background is really good. Its like a new generation of learning accept that it is on the computer. However I like to do it the old fashioned way which is by handwriting it. This is excellent I mean it has an introductory paragraph, with a thesis statement and its really formal compared to for how I would write it.

This blog is really cool! I believe that Teacher Zaynab's purpose for making this blog is to encourage us to want to read and write and want to go deeper into the studies of Language Arts. I like this poem about Enlish words, comparing english to a sprouting tree, growing bigger and bigger. This poem deeply describes English when relating it to a tree. I learned much from this poem. It also shows how it relates to the roots and trunk of a tree.

I think that blogs, websites, books, etc. set to entertain and amuse me is cool, amazing, and awesome not a language arts site. But this blog is made to inform me about how important english is and how many parts there are to the art of communication. And, in its own way, its kinda... different.

I think that the main idea of Teacher Z's awesome blog is to help her class learn to read and write with fluency in a creative, pleasing way.
The blog's layout is creative with many pictures and elaborate sentences, making it enjoyable to read.
We are are suppossed to write our comments in a certain format, which is educational as well as fun because it ties writing to modern technology.
I also noticed a small poll, so we can all express or opinions in a way that we all understand; multiple choice. Again, this ties education to technology.

The blog is organized into paragraphs, links, and lists, making it easy to navigate.
Teacher Zaynab's poetry is very inspiring, and I enjoyed going through it. The writing in this blog is very descriptive and sends a clear message; so it is imformative.

  21. Miraul Ashkar 9/13/10 - 10/04/1431 ELA The main idea of the blog is that english language learning plays a big role in our lives and inshallah we will use it all our lives. The first supporting detail is, ' English learning is trees yielding life'. The second detail is , ' Language is like a tree'. And the third detail is , the background of the website shows shelves of books, which shows that literature helps us act, communicate and learn through middle school and life. This blog is organized by the days of the week. Also, it is set up like a paragraph, Introduction, two detailed paragraphs, and a conclusion. TZ composed the poem, and it is a free write.

So, to answer your questions, teacher Zaynab, i think your purpose was to help us realize if we were experienced readers, burgeoning writer and/or developing speakers. OR, to help us use the art of communication in the process of creating ideas and unfolding them into meaningful forms so that others can recieve your message and respond. 1)The first sentence 2) The last sentence 3) "Just like a painter or a planter, you have to decide which tools to use in order to convey a message." This blog is organized in a way that makes it easy for us to understand and find information that we need. You composed the poem and it is VRY good, mashaallah. Supporting Details:-
-It is a great way of sharing our opinions through our own understanding.
-We can grow with our language just as the branches of tree and expand our vocab. just as the leaves grow.
-To understand more of what makes language such an art.
The blog is organized through intro, daily assignments, and informative paragraphs.

This verse is saying that the roots of language is sounds we hear. Pretty much everything we hear is a kind of language that somebody said to express our thoughts. If we didn't hear anything we wouldn't be able to express anythng through words. Listening is one of the ways we increase in knowledge - if we listen to beneficial things.

-I believe that this is a narrative poem
-The element of poetry i would use is denotation and connotation.
-The title i would give this is Sprouting Sounds

-This verse is saying that the sounds we hear are just roots, without them we wouldn't have a base for the rest of our writing. Sounds should inspire us.

    -Sensory language is most common.

-From the wording of the poem, i believe it is a lyrical poem, just as Rahma said.
-The language used in the verse includes sensory words and vocabulary.

DAY 2(M) Blog Comment: Language is like a tree...

1.)This verse means to me that language IS like a tree. It is structured, must have roots, and is beautiful, if nurtured correctly.
2.)I think this is a ballad.
3.)The verse seems inspirational and seems to have a very deep meaning.
4.)A title I would give the whole poem would be "Language is A Tree" because each verse says something different about how language is a tree, like details supporting a main idea as if the trunk is supporting
5.) The learning language reminds me of a tree, because, again, it is structured, must have roots, and is beatiful when nurtured properly.

DAY 3 (T) Blog Comment: The roots are sounds we hear...
1.)I think this verse means that the roots are the beginning, the first couple of sounds we hear from a child's mouth when they begin to speak.
2.)I think this is a lyrical verse.
3.)The verse seems like it is trying to use anolagies to explain the Art of Language.

DAY 4 (W) Blog Comment: Sprouting letters that suddenly appear...
1.)I think this verse means that after one masters the first sounds, our speech begins to flourish and we can say words, letters, and sentences, yet they are small leaves, and could use some work.
2.)I think this is a lyrical verse.
3.)The verse seems like it is being informative, telling you about this tree.
4.)A title I would give the whole poem would be "Language is A Tree" because each verse says something different about how language is a tree, like details supporting a main idea as if the trunk is supporting

Day 2: "Language is like a tree..."

    - Languagae is like a tree seeing that the tree has branches that make it complete just as the language has parts making it whole.
    - This is a lyrical poem
    - The literary element is figurative language.

  35. Day(2):

    "language is like a tree"

This verse to me means that language really IS like a tree because on a tree there a lot of branches and each branch represents each language. I think this is a ballad. All the verses are very strong and inspirational the way they are written.

    Day (3):
"The roots are sounds we hear"
To me this verse means that the roots are the original and beginning words of every language you hear. I think this is a lyrical poem. All the
verses are very strong and inspirational the way they are written.

    Day 3
The roots are sound we hear means that sound goes into the ear while roots go into the dirt and spread out just like sound. I think that this poem is a lyrical poem. Stanzas are most common and if i gave this a title i would name it "Growing Sounds". This reminds me of a maple tree beacuse the roots spread out outword about 3 times the branches do.

3)I think that analogy is the literary element that is common to the verse.

4)A title I would give would be "The Tree's Voice"

5)This verse reminds me of a tree because a tree consists of roots and this verse is talking about roots...

day 3(t) blog comment:"the roots are like the sounds we hear..."
To me saying that the sounds we hear are analogous to the roots of a tree means that sound are the foundation of the languages we speak. We learn languages by listening, mostly. And without a strong foundation we will "fall down". I believe this poem is a literary poem. The literary element used here is symbolism.

p.s: is a ballad a type of narrative?

  39. Sarrah Abbasi,
Day 2.. "language is like a tree.."
In my opinion Language is like a tree because each language has a base like roots and grows like branches

Day 3.."the roots are sounds we hear.."
I think this line is expressing how we start all start speaking small phrases at young ages like roots but we eventually grow like trees.I also think this is a lyrical poem and if i were to name this poem I`d name is "Starting small"

  40. Day 2: Language is like a tree...

  41. This is a A-M-A-Z-I-N-G BLOG!!!!! The whole idea is to teach us about ELA and it's so fun that it's hard to believe we are doing the activities for a grade. The first few scentences say "...experienced readers, burgeoning writers' and developing speakers.... are probably one of my students who have come to this blog as a requirement for your first assignment..." and this is the first assignment. We will be coming here every day to learn even though it may be a bit chaotic and we are also learning ELA as a art. This blog has tons of information so it's in pharagraphs clearly explaining the topic. For example when we read TZ's poem we know she made it because it's orginized in way that can give us that information. All this writing is so informitive that in my opinion any middle schooler can learn from it.

Language is like a tree..... This means to me that our language is a base of a tree and the branches are different languages which have leaves with information. All the information in the poem makes it a narrative one. What i really like is that the poem flows in your head with a rhythme because of all thr rhyming.

    (could not open race website)

RACE: Humans are different in many ways. Some of our differences come with our race. A Chinese person will have a different eye shape than a Sumalian or a African can have a different type of ear wax than a Canadian.

Day 2: The roots are sounds we hear...

    1. What does the verse mean to you?
This verse means that the roots describe different languages we hear around us and they all combine up to make a tree. The tree represents language arts.

2.Is this a narrative poem, a lyrical poem, a limerick, or a ballad?
This form of writing is a lyrical poem because it is usually a form of poetry with rhyming schemes that express personal and emotional feelings.

3.What literary element of poetry is most common to all of the verses?
Sybolism and Figurative Language is the most common to all the verses because sybolism is a person, place or object which has a meaning in itself but suggests other meanings as well and figurative language is whenever you describe something by comparing it with something else.

This is Hannan T.Z I think your idea of making a blog is wondeful and i hope you enjoy what i think about your blog.
    hw day one
The main idea why teacher zaynab made the blog is to make it easier for students to have fun while learning. Also to encourage students that language arts is not writting and imaginig for teachers but a subject to express meanings and thoughts about what a person thinks. (Besides languge is just like another world, another space where they can frrely express their ideas.)

The first deatial is learning while having fun. For instance, we can post games that are fun and teach us something.
The second deatial is we the members can list books that can be interesting and nice.
The third deatial is to give us the chance to express our ideas. We can discuss ideas when we do not have time in class to discuss them.
This website is organized in sections.
Teacher zaynab composed the poem for this blog.
    This blog discusses persuasive writting.

Day 2: The roots are sounds we hear...
1)What this quote means to me is that the roots are the diffrent aspects of sound under the topic of language. I know in realife that the roots are the main source of food for the plant. I can infer that what we hear is not just sounds and words but the precious ideas of someone else. Sounds do not just exist by themselves. People make them to express their ideas.
2)I think that this poem is a lyrical poem because its songlike and it is expressing our thoughts and feelings toward literature. It has many metaphores. 3)The literary element i see the most is hyperbole because instead of putting the words and describing them, the poet puts the parts of the tree and let the reader infer and think about them.

  56. Day 2: Language is like a tree.....
because each branch that grows we learn another component and as the leaves grow our vocabulary expands and as the vines spread so does our knowledge.

Day 3: The roots are sounds we hear.....
because the roots are the main foundation which help make the tree stable just as listening makes us strong learners.

Day 4: Sprouting letters that suddenly appear.....
because as we learn more and more we start to sprout and it starts to bloom in our work.

P.S:interesting poem - full of thought.

Day four "Sprouting letters that suddenly appear..."
This is my favorite verse so far! I think that this verse means that new word in the language are made every so often and just so suddenly, that you Notice them like little tiny branches of a tree at first. Then, after a while other words are also made from that first root word, just like leaves sprouting from a branch. This shows that every time someone adds a new word to a language, it opens up a large opportunity for many other words. Whole trees start off as tiny branches in the ground that no one pays much heed to. After a while, however, a mighty tree will be in its place. And just how trees can grow, languages can too.

To me, this verse is saying that letters are like the building blocks of language. Wonderful novels, poems, plays... without letters, none of them could have been expressed except orally. Letters can be found anywhere, in any form - even talking is a way of using letters because... well, you have to know the words you're saying from somewhere, right? Sorry if what I'm saying doesn't make sense.

  92. (Mon) Day2: Language is like a tree...
    - The verse means to me that language is a living thing, like a tree, it can become extinct or it can flourish through the mouths of others and a seed or word can be taken to be used to create a whole other word in a nother language. Ex: English has words with Old French, Latin,Greek, German, etc roots.
    - This is a lyrical poem.
-Most common literary element: Figurative language.

(Tues) Day3: The roots are sounds we hear...
    - The vers means to me that when you are writing a story or poem, your thoughts are sounds that you hear. There are plenty of brilliant thoughts flying around in your head; you just have to listen to them to get the root of your story.
-This is obviously a lyrical poem.
-Most common literary element: sensory language.

(Wed) Day 4: Sprouting letters that suddenly appear...
-This verse shows me that when we write a poem or story, we dont know how to start, we sit there, staring at the blank page, knowing that there is SOMETHING in that brain of yours, so you take a deep breath, and there it is. The little seedling of an idea, so small and weak, so you nurture it with a few characters thenyou start writing, and you keep writing until you cant stop, not now, but then you slow down until its just a trickle of words and then it comes to a complete stop. Look at paper in front of you now and compare it with the one you stared at not so long ago. The little seedling suddenly appeared and the words just sprouted.
    -This is a narrative poem.
-The most common element is imagery b/c the verse makes me think of sproutlings and letters and I try to connect the words.

  93. DAY 2(M) Blog Comment: Language is like a tree...
Language is like a tree because there are many branches of language, different ways of pronouncing it, sentences, wrriting, listening. And each of these branches has smaller branches which have smaller branches which have...leaves. It's a tree that will never stop growing because languages go on and on adding more and more.

1)It means that once you learn a language it stays with you as firm as a tree.

    2)Lyrical

    3)Similies

    4)The Fruit Tree

5)A small tree sapling. Because as you learn, your tree groes and grows, and when you completely know it, you have a full grown FRUIT tree, ever giving (of fruits) and that will be rooted there forever.

DAY 3 (T) Blog Comment: The roots are sounds we hear...

I think this means that listening is just as important as the rest of the language. It's one of the main things that help you learn the language. This is saying that listening is like the roots of a tree, it's what holds it into place. and keeps it from flying away.

1)This means that listening is one of the main things to learn a language.

    2)Lyrical

    3)Similies

    4)The Fruit Tree

5)A small tree sapling. Because as you learn, your tree groes and grows, and when you completely know it, you have a full grown FRUIT tree, ever giving (of fruits) and that will be rooted there forever.

    Day 2 Activity:"Language is like a tree."
This blog means to me that language is related to a tree because the branches, leaves, roots, and trunks are all like the many layers of ELA.
    This poem is lyrical.
The type of literary element expressed here is figurative language.

Day 3 Activity:"The roots are sounds we hear."
This verse refers to the roots of a tree and the sounds we hear. I think it is trying to tell us that the ears and the roots are all organs that carry SECRETS. The ears are the tools you use to hear secrets, kind of like the roots of a tree, where everyhthing is stored. So, I think the verse is comparing ears and roots.
This poem is a lyrical poem.
The literary element used here is a personification, because the roots are given human characteristics.

Day 4 Activity:"Sprouting letters that suddenly appear."
This verse means to me that the 'sprouting letters' are the letters we write when we are composing a writing piece. It is talking about when we are trying to think of what to write, when our ideas are all mixed, and then...BOOM. It all appears.
    This poem is narrative.
The literary element here is figurative language.

The trunk of a tree is like its backbone; without it, the tree wouldn't be able to stand up. This verse is comparing a trunk of a tree to "meanings." Meanings of what? Meanings of words, sentences, paragraphs, essays, books,..... The meaning of anything anyone has ever composed to express their thoughts/opinions explain what they are. Everything has a meaning, which backs them up and makes them do what they do. I don't think that what I'm writing makes sense...

Day five "The trunk is words formed with meanings understood..."

I really like the series of verses that Teacher Zaynab posted, and this one is a perfect sequel to the one before it. To me it means that every time a new word is made and used by people, the trunk of the language is being elongated and is made a bit taller. If we were just to make up new words for a language but never put them into use, the trunk or base of the language would not grow and no one would want to use the language. However, if we actually used everything we mad, the language would grow very large, as each time the trunk grow, branches are added onto the tree. These branches then add opportunities for leaves and other smaller branches to sprout. Each time you understand a word, not just hear it, this increases your ability to be inspired and add onto your Vocabulary.

Blog Comment: The trunk is words formed with meanings understood...

1)I think that this is trying to say that the trunk is like our brain where we keep words to help us understand and without it, we wouldn't be able to put together the words to make a meaning out of something.

2)I think that this is a lyrical poem.

3)I think that the literary element is figure of speech.

4)A title I would give this verse would be "The Word Trunk!"

5)This verse reminds me of a tall tree with a tall trunk and that's because I imagine that trunk filled with letters and words.

Sorry about how for yersterday's comment I did beforehand. That was an accident. :)

"The trunk is words formed with meanings understood..."

To me, I think this verse means that now, after you plant of language has flourished, it is now firmly rooted. The base has been set, and from there it goes ne way or another. Will it keep in the earth, or will it be blown away? And the trunk full of meanings could be understood, or misunderstood, and both of these could affect the future life of this tree. I'm pretty sure his is a ballad.

Day 5(Th): "The trunk is words formed with meanings understood..."

Trunk is a very important part of a tree, without it there coundn't be a tree. Words, like a tree trunk, are an important part of any language. It is impossible to have a language without words, and generally people know what words are good or what they mean liek they do for a tree trunk. This poem is a lyrical, and the literary term used is alliteration.

This verse means that trunk of a tree is the basis of language arts. I think the verse is trying to say that the trunk of a tree is the support of the tree, and it is being compared to the meanings of things that together hold up ELA.
I think the poem changes to narrative here, even though for day 4 i said its lyrical. The literary element here is figurative language.

    1) What I understand is that after our letters sprout come out the words in were we start the real journey of expressing our feelings and the journey of understanding that these words are just the beginig of our communication. We should know that words are not just a bunch of letters but a buch of ideas that increase our knowledge. 2)I think that this poem is a lyrical poem because its songlike and it is expressing our thoughts and feelings toward literature. It has many metaphores. 3) The literary element i see the most is hyperbole because instead of putting the words and describing them, the poet puts the parts of the tree and let the reader infer and think about them.

DAY 6 (F) Blog Comment: And outstretched branches emerge where sentences unfold with thoughts so dear.

The branches of most trees are outstretched. These branches are similar to thoughts, which then evolve into sentences. Sentences express different things, depending on the author's purpose, but what the sentences say almost ALWAYS agree with the thoughts of the writer. (Well, sometimes we have to write essays and stuff about other people's opinions and things like that... we don't always agree with those.) These sentences then reach out to others in the world, whether by being published into a novel, or made into a video, or sent as an email... This way a single person's thoughts can spread, even if they write only one sentence. A single sentence can say a lot. The journey to a novel starts with a single sentence.

DAY 7 (Sat) Blog Comment/Journal Entry: Groups of sentences combine as fruits identify that tree...
A fruit tree is compared to groups of sentences, combined to identify that tree. For example, imagine an apple tree. Thoughts are the apple seeds, apples are the words, bunches of apples are sentences, and the rest of the apple bunches on the tree are other sentences. Together, the different bunches make a paragraph, which can be identified into different categories depending on the sentences in it. For this particular verse, I would give the title “Identification”; for the entire poem I would give the title “What Sprouts from a Seed” because of the comparison of a tree to ELL. Finally, learning language reminds me of an apple tree because of the example I wrote in the first few sentences.

I think the line means that so many ideas cause the branches to grow and as the ideas become sentences it reminds the person of their most personal and deepest thoughts. The outstretched branches are showing the not to stretched thoughts.
I think its a lyrical poem.
The literary element would be symbolism.

Day 6 Activity:"And outstretched branches emerge where sentences unfold with thoughts so dear..."
I think that this verse means that the branches are like sentences, they all say something. Also, i think that the verse is trying to tell us that the tree is structured similar to the way language arts is structured. In this verse it says that the branches are like sentences, so the poem is trying to express that sentences and branches all carry deep thoughts.
I think this poem has sort of a lyrical touch.
The literary element is figurative language.

Day 7 Activity: "Gruops of sentences combine as fruits identify that tree."
I think this verse is using an analogy, because it's comparing sentences and fruits using 'as'. I think that this verse means that a buch of sentences can express the same idea a fruit does: sweet, sour, bitter, etc.
i think this poem is still lyrical.
I think that the literary element is symbolism.(Can analogy be an element?)
If I could give this a title, i think i'd call it "What It's Like to be a Language Arts Tree".
Learning language reminds of a tree because each part of a tree can relate to language arts. The branches are sentences, and the leaves are words and the trunk is the ideas.

DAY 7 (Sat) Blog Comment/Journal Entry: Groups of sentences combine as fruits identify that tree...

I think this verse means that after the trunk is settled into the earth, the tree begins to bring up it's own characteristic. Every tree is different, and so is every writer. A cherry tree might have small but juicy details. A coconut palm tree would have details that are hard to interpret, but once you find their meanings, they bring wonderful images forth. The fruit of the tree determine's the writer's style.
All these verses seem to be anolagies; comparing a tree with language.

Groups of sentences combine as fruits identify that tree...

I think this means that whatever a tree grows whether its fruits, or leaves that gives the tree its identification. Which is the same for sentences. As each sentence comes together and goes on and on it becomes a story, and the sentences of the story help identify what it is and what it means.
    This is a lyrical poem.

2)I think that this is a lyrical poem.

3)I think that the literary element is figure of speech.

1)I think this verse is saying that every tree is different just like every sentence and every writer that writes that sentence is different. Also, I think it means that the fruits on a tree combine to make a bunch just as words in a sentence combine to make that sentence or the sentences combine to make a paragraph or an essay, story, novel, etc.

2)I think that this is a lyrical poem.

3)I think that the literary element is figure of speech.

4)A title I would give this verse would be "The Word Trunk!"

5)This verse reminds me of an apple tree because each apple on the tree reminds me of each word in a sentence.

Day 6(F) " And outstreched branches emerge where sentences unfold with thoughts so dear.."

Sentences can be compared to the braches of a tree because sentences express a language as do the braches of a tree. Branches emerge from the trunk of a tree just as sentences emerge from thoughts.THis poem is a lyrical, and alliteration is used in the verses.

Day 7(Sat) " Groups of sentences combine as fruits identify that tree..."

Just how the different fruits on diifferent trees distinguish those trees. Every sentence is different, every tree is different, and every language is different. Alliteration is used in this lyrical poem. A name I believe appropriate for this poem would be "The Voice of a Tree". I think language is like a pine tree each cone would be the sentences formed, they fall as do the memories of past senteces that have been said, and new sentences form as more pine cones grow.

Day 6: "And outstretched branches emerge where sentences unfold with thoughts so dear."

    - In this verse, branches are compared to sentences. Just as the branches of a tree are formed from the trunk, the sentences are formed from our thoughts. Without the trunk, we get no branches and similarly, without our thoughts, no sentences form.
    - This is a lyrical poem.
    - The literary element is figurative language.

Day 7: "Groups of sentences combine as fruits identify that tree..."

Each word is different from others, which makes the sentence express a different thought. This makes the paragraph different, which makes the story original. Similarly, each leaf is different making the branch different. This makes the trunk and the tree unique, and causing the fruit to differ from other trees. The fruit is what identifies the tree and seperates it from others. Similarly, the words identify the ideas to form a sentence and make it unique. In this lyrical poem, alliteration is used. For this verse, I would give a particular title, "It's Identity". For the whole poem, I would give "What makes language like a tree?"

this lyrical, with its excellent use of alliteration, can be titled "Whispering Willows".
Languge in my opinion can be compared to a tomato plant, because when a tomato is red enough it can be plucked. So, before people speak or say anything thaey think about it and when it is "ripe" they speak it. (that is if they think before they speak).
